Unfortunately, a lot of what you need to know in the workplace can only be learned by doing it that no amount of college or grad school can prepare you for.
But the things you listed aren’t just helpful for managers, they’re valuable for everyone.
That would help for sure - I also think it would help to teach about office politics in college classes along with values and expectations in the workplace. I know I wish I had known some of that stuff before learning the hard way.

Thanks Bette. You're right and I think thats why we need better mentoring. To shorten that time it takes to learn these real-world skills.
