Hey friend
Welcome to 200 Word Tuesdays. Where we give you short, actionable ideas to implement in your project management. We promise that you haven’t heard these powerful ideas anywhere else. Let’s get started.
Matthew Dicks, a master storyteller and six-time (!!!) storytelling champion, once shared a profound insight: "I don't memorise a story, I remember it."
This is such a subtle distinction but its key to authentic communication that resonates deeply with your audience.
Think about your own experiences with memorable speakers. The ones who truly captivate don't recite from a mental teleprompter – they share their message as if reliving it.
Now consider the opposite: we've all endured presentations where speakers mechanically march through bullet points against a backdrop of cluttered, wordy slides.
The secret comes in deep understanding of your topic.
Like its a part of you.
When you achieve this depth of understanding, you communicate so freely that you create space for spontaneity and genuine connection.
Your message can breathe and evolve, responding to the energy in the room.
This approach requires more investment than simple memorization.
But the payoff is grand: instead of delivering a rehearsed performance, you guide your audience through an authentic experience.
You leave them changed.
Next time you prepare to present, don't just learn your lines – absorb your story until you can truly remember it.
See you next week,

See you inside!
100%: remembering things allows you to put them into a broader context, creating links with other topics... It brings much more value than simply being able to repeat it without even understanding.
For the record, the world champion of Scrabble for the French language doesn't even speak French. This guy simply memorized every French word.
Leaving the audience changed is the goal of any presentation. Remembering instead of memorizing is a great way to do that. Love the 200 word Tuesday articles!
