Agree, especially with point #2. This is one of the best advice I've been given in my career: “You have the know-how; now you need to make it known.”
It's not bragging about your so called achievements (which that guy was very good at, ngl), but making sure the company know about your impact.
Thanks Fred. It is really hard for most of us (myself included) to self-promote. But then we get frustrated when nobody notices our strengths. We all just need to get better at strategic and tasteful self-promotion.
I feel it hard as well. Focus on your impact instead yourself. Talk about outcomes. It's much easier believe me
