Your Contribution Score
Count up how much you are really providing to others
Hey friend
Welcome to 200 Word Tuesdays. Where we give you short, actionable ideas to implement in your project management. We promise that you haven’t heard these powerful ideas anywhere else. Let’s get started.
A contribution score is like a measure of how much others value your input.
If your contribution score is low because you haven’t contributed much in the past, people are less likely to pay attention to what you have to say.
When you haven’t spoken up or shared ideas often, people might assume you don’t have much to offer. This makes it harder for your voice to stand out.
To improve your contribution score, it’s important to be thoughtful about when and how you speak.
Instead of talking often, focus on sharing ideas that are meaningful and well-thought-out.
Speak only when you have something important to say or when you can add real value to the conversation. This will make others take notice and start paying attention when you speak.
Over time, people will begin to see you as someone who contributes valuable insights, even if you don’t talk a lot.
It’s better to say a few impactful things than to talk often without adding much.
This approach helps you build credibility and ensures that when you do speak, others will listen.
By being strategic and intentional, you can improve your contribution score and earn respect in group discussions.
See you next week,
Jonathan (The Effective Project Manager)
