Become a Skeptic
To be an original thinker...
Hey friend
Welcome to 200 Word Tuesdays. Where we give you short, actionable ideas to implement in your project management. We promise that you haven’t heard these powerful ideas anywhere else.
Let’s get started.
To be an original thinker, you need to be a skeptic.
You need to look at everything you see with disbelief.
You should imagine that all the explanations are false.
That what everyone believes, may in-fact not be true.
But that doesn’t mean be a fool.
Oh no!
Because the next step is important.
Prove it.
Prove your beliefs by having an open mind. Interrogate assumptions, read, listen, speak with others. And take quiet time to think.
Then conclude whether your beliefs are valid.
This approach to thinking helps you make better decisions by questioning assumptions and reducing the risk of being misled.
You become immune to groupthink and single-minded acceptance.
It fosters innovation and creativity, enabling you to explore new ideas and solve problems in unique ways.
Engaging with diverse perspectives and reflecting on your beliefs enhances intellectual growth and broadens your understanding.
Ultimately, this method strengthens your personal integrity, allowing you to confidently stand by well-reasoned conclusions.
All the best,
Courtney
